The Karns Award recognizes one faculty member annually for distinguished scholarship contributions.

Faculty may nominate themselves or a colleague to be invited for consideration of this award honoring late Biology professor Daryl Karns. A panel of faculty and administrators from other liberal arts colleges reviews materials of finalists and selects the winner of the award, which is announced annually at the Honors Convocation ceremony.
